Needham DBS Provides Concrete Details for Heartland Coca-Cola

Overall-Mod

From concept to concrete, Needham DBS supported Heartland Coca-Cola’s new Olathe Production Campus with Tilt-Up panel detailing, coordination and producing constructible drawings.

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company’s new Olathe Production Campus (OPC) is now fully operational following its grand opening in June 2025. The 700,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility sits on 150 acres in Olathe, Kansas, just off I-35. It serves as the company’s second major warehouse and bottling operation in the Kansas City metro area, one of the largest in the Midwest. The expansive campus features 334 insulated and non-insulated panels cast with 8,210 cubic yards of concrete.

As the tilt-up panel detailing team, Needham DBS partnered with Lithko Contracting to deliver Tilt-Up panel layout shop drawings. This included panel formwork, connection details, and material quantities needed to form, construct, and pour the panels. One of the most unique features of the project was the custom formwork required to cast a distinctive bottle shape directly into one of the concrete panels, an architectural detail that celebrates the iconic Coca-Cola brand while showcasing advanced tilt-up capabilities.

Special thanks to the entire construction team for their collaboration on this landmark project. Needham DBS is proud to have helped bring this next-generation Coca-Cola facility to life in our own backyard.
